PP Neighborhood Meeting Minutes

Thursday, April 7, 2022    5:30 - 6:45 PM

Charlie Joseph Senior Citizen Center (Special thanks to Diane for keeping the light on!)

 

Attendance: 10 neighbors in total

 

5:30 – More Food than we could eat was brought by all with a common theme of Italian!    

5:45 – Opening - Roxie McLeod opened the meeting with a blessing for the food.
5:50 - Introduction of all present (all shared what Easter traditions you and your family have and what it means to them.)  

6:00 - Something Fun with eggs! – An Easter Egg Hunt with a story and prizes.

6:00 - Minutes from the last meeting – Motion to accept by James Eddy and Seconded by Mary, All agreed to accept the February minutes.       

6:05 – Guest Speaker, Charles Barr - Candidate/City Council District 7 and his wife, Tanya.    Primary election will be Aug. 23rd.  Barr shared his desire to bring honesty and government transparency to Jacksonville.  He wants better roads and improved infrastructure and new businesses with more jobs in the north side and this district.  He wants safer streets and will be a councilman we will have access to. 

6:20 – Agreed to have our Panama Park Come Together - June 4

Everyone including our guests took an invitation to share with a local business that they use.  We can use your help in raising the money, items, and volunteers for our 5th PPCT.

Mary suggested we pass out the flyers and announce the event closer to the event so that only our own neighbors attend instead of putting it on face book where we even had people from Georgia come. 

6:30 – Agnes and Roxie announced a Ladies Bible study starting Sundays at 6:00, call Roxie for more information (904) 515-7944

6:35 – City Recycling started back this week!!!    .
