5:30 - Everyone brought food and we ate and shared our memories of our favorite teachers. 5:45 - Meeting opened with prayer by Roxie McLeod
5:50 - We Read Mission and Vision Statement
Mission Statement: “Cultivating a flourishing neighborhood by leveraging our resources to build a safe, resilient and inclusive community and promote neighborhood pride.”
Vision Statement: “Uniting Panama Park Neighbors to produce a thriving community”
5:55 - Minutes from the last meeting (Moved: Angela Seconded:Rob Accepted: Yes
6:00 New Business:
- Building on 63rd Street - there is a re-zoning of 508 63rd street. Spoke with Lisa in Planning Dpt. of the Land use and zoning department of the city and she said that this will be rezoning is being changed from Commercial to MDR which means residential, though it could be a duplex.
-We talked of bus riding - most attending use the public bus system.
6:25 -Old Business:
- the Buffalo Emergency Sewer project has closed up Buffalo and Virginia street, but don’t seem to be finished. They patched up one area of grass, but only after a lot of calls and emails. It has been 2 years and 2 months (26 months).
-The Garden Mural unveil and the Deck Ribbon Cutting Event in April was a great success!
6:35 Community Garden Committee
Yoga at the Park Every Last Saturday starting June - 9-10AM - Lotus Pearl
Compost Pile needs your coffee grounds (Starbucks) and food scraps.
Tomatoes need trellises and Staining the deck NEXT WORK DAY is JUNE 7 from 1-5pm and June 13 and June 27 in the mornings from 8 to 12. (First Sunday PM and 2nd and 4th Sat. AM)

5:30 - We met in the Park because we missed the man with the key, who later came to the garden where we were meeting and we got to meet
5:45 - Open Meeting and Introductions (Favorite Teacher in Elementary School and Why)

6:00 New Business:
Town Hall Meetings announced.
Niel Jefferson announced the “Popular Education in the Park” Event coming up this Sunday the 28th of June at Panama Park.
Dana Michelle Maule announced about Northside Pride and that they also sponsor the yoga in the park once a month - next one will be July the 25th, bring your yoga mat!
Met the representative from the Park’s Dpt. who will be able to open the doors should we miss the director here at Charlie Joseph.
6:25 -Old Business:
- Building on 63rd Street will be residential, not a large group home or business.

5:30 - Shared rice and chicken and apple sauce for our pot luck dinner.
5:45 - Open Meeting and Introductions and we shared a summer adventure. We had a new neighbor join us tonight!
5:50 - Read Mission and Vision Statement

5:55 - Minutes from the last meeting were not voted on, because we had the wrong month.
6:00 New Business:
Veteran’s Scam - We discussed other scams and how we deal with them.
Noise ordinance changes are coming up, please report any noise disturbances and contact your city counsel person. They can be emailed and the web site to contact them is:
