PP Neighborhood Meeting Minutes

Charlie Joseph Senior Citizen Center 

5:30 - Everyone brought food and we ate and shared our memories of our favorite teachers. 5:45 - Meeting opened with prayer by Roxie McLeod

5:50 - We Read Mission and Vision Statement
Mission Statement: “Cultivating a flourishing neighborhood by leveraging our resources to build a safe, resilient and inclusive community and promote neighborhood pride.”
Vision Statement: “Uniting Panama Park Neighbors to produce a thriving community”

5:55 - Minutes from the last meeting (Moved: Angela Seconded:Rob  Accepted:  Yes

6:00 New Business:
- Building on 63rd Street - there is a re-zoning of 508 63rd street.  Spoke with Lisa in Planning Dpt. of the Land use and zoning department of the city and she said that this will be rezoning is being changed from Commercial to MDR which means residential, though it could be a duplex.  

-We talked of bus riding - most attending use the public bus system.

6:25 -Old Business:
- the Buffalo Emergency Sewer project has closed up Buffalo and Virginia street, but don’t seem to be finished. They patched up one area of grass, but only after a lot of calls and emails. It has been 2 years and 2 months (26 months). 

-The Garden Mural unveil and the Deck Ribbon Cutting Event in April was a great success!   

6:35 Community Garden Committee

Yoga at the Park Every Last Saturday starting June - 9-10AM - Lotus Pearl
 

Compost Pile needs your coffee grounds (Starbucks) and food scraps. 

Tomatoes need trellises and Staining the deck  NEXT WORK DAY is JUNE 7 from 1-5pm and June 13 and June 27 in the mornings from 8 to 12. (First Sunday PM and 2nd and 4th Sat. AM)
