PP Neighborhood Meeting Minutes        
Thursday, April 24, 2025 - 6:45 PM
Charlie Joseph Senior Citizen Center 

5:30 - Sign in and EAT (please donate in the jar to help cover clerical costs and deck costs.) 

5:45 - Open Meeting and Introductions (favorite kind of dog/pet) We welcomed two new neighbors and had a total attendance of 10.
5:48 - Read Mission and Vision Statement 

6:50 - Minutes from the last meeting (Moved:  Bill   Seconded: _Rob_    Accepted:  Yes__ )
 

6:00 – New Business:

Guest:  Public Works representatives

Our Guest was Mr. Blackman Superintendent for North Jacksonville for Jacksonville Public Works Department explained how they maintain our city roads with a budget that goes from October to October. His Project Supervisor for this area is Mike Francis. His office is at 4767 Moncrief Rd.  He encouraged us all to:
PLEASE CALL (904) 630 CITY to report any pot holes, dips, rough sidewalks and make a ticket. OR go to MYJAX and make a ticket with the app. or online. He promises to fix it if there is a ticket made and if not, please email him the ticket number Blackman@coj.net. Also please report drainage in streets that stay for more than one day. Also, if your vehicle is damaged in a pot hole STOP, call the police to make a report and take pictures.  Then report it to Risk Management and get a ticket number for them to help with the damages.  

Neighbor of the Month Award goes to Rob Candela for helping a neighbor move to her new apartment.

6:45 - Community Garden Committee
Report on our last Workshop - BUGS!

Deck and Grant Update: Building Dpt.
Workday , Saturday April 26th, Sunday May 4th, May 10th and 24th.
Drip Irrigation going in on Saturday.
More donations - letter.
Workday every 1st Sunday from now on, 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Next Workshop is May 10th Bees and pollinators. 
Gerii Vollick will be our Garden Rep for the workshops, still need another as a second back-up.
