PP Neighborhood Meeting Minutes

5:30 – A new neighbor joined us tonight! 
            He went home with a bag full of sweet potatoes. 
5:45 - Open Meeting and Introductions (Thanksgiving Plans)  

5:48 - Read Mission and Vision Statement
Mission Statement: “Cultivating a flourishing neighborhood by leveraging our resources to build a safe, resilient and inclusive community and promote neighborhood pride.”
Vision Statement: “Uniting Panama Park Neighbors to produce a thriving community”

6:50 - Minutes from the last meeting (Moved:_Bill  Seconded: _Rob    Accepted:  _Yes_ )
 
 

Neighbor of the Month Award goes to Reginald Ford for his contributions to  work in the garden and build sponsors. 

Nominees for next month:  WE will keep Reggie as our Neighbor of the Month because he was not present to receive his prize this month.

6:00   Community Garden Committee
Muralist for the shed has been chosen and is working on a rendering for us to vote on and for the city to approve.
No word on electricity yet from the city for the garden.
Deck is completed but the stain and landscaping and a skirt. 
There will be a new year’s ribbon cutting, planning committee volunteers needed.
The extra plants were donated to neighboring community gardens.
Need one more sponsor sign painted – Bonnie Plants
Watering volunteers needed with this long time of no rain.
Work day this Saturday.  Watch website to know when next work days are.  
Bill mentioned the need for irrigation. Jeff showed an interest in helping. Bill will make a supply list of what we need.
 

6:40 New Business:

We will not have a Christmas party, not much interest.

But we are planning a new year’s party on the deck in the garden!

Need volunteers to plan it.

6:45 – Meeting closed and a few went to the garden to pull up sweet potatoes.
